I have always been fascinated by storytelling and over the years I found my voice in telling stories through the visual medium with both photography and videography. My interest in the visual medium dates back to a young age when my grandfather Jack, a photographer, gifted me with my very first point and shoot film camera. Over the years my interest developed into a passion by teaching myself everything that I could possibly imagine before any classes were available to me. Once I had the opportunity to take such classes I jumped at the chance, which gave me exposure to videography. I ultimately received my Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies with a concentration in Production and Design. After graduation I bought myself a Canon 7d and became an early adopter in the DSLR revolution knowing the impact it would have on video.
In my 10 plus years as a full-time professional I have had the great pleasure of telling other’s stories through my voice. I have shot everything from weddings, live events, headshots to product photography and DIY videos. The overriding takeaway for me, from my experience thus far, is that there are always more photos and videos to be taken, new practices to learn and more stories to tell.
